Legwork Productions is situated in the quiet village of Gharghur (pronounced ‘Gar-gur’), just 20 minutes from Malta International Airport (and most other parts of our small but varied island).

Carmel Bruno’s passion for the image through a lens began with photography at the age of eight. He used to help his uncle, a professional photographer, in the darkroom enlarging and developing B&W photos. During this time, Bruno was also encouraged to take photos and learned about framing, composition, technique and other aspects of the media in the studio and on location.
In his school years, Bruno also discovered a love of music and joined a local rock band playing keyboards. After college, he became a professional musician and toured the UK for several years, playing in live venues and occasionally appearing on national TV.
Returning to Malta in 1984, Bruno set up a sound equipment hire business, but it was his continued interest in photography that eventually led to TV and film production. Bruno was instrumental in producing, filming and editing the first programs ever produced for Maltese TV by an independent production company and, since then, has filmed and edited over 200 programs, both for Malta and international production companies and broadcasters.
Through Legwork Productions, Carmel Bruno is currently co-producing, filming and editing various documentaries for transmission globally.
